THE ECONOMIC CONSEQUENCES OF THE CRISIS ON ARMENIAAND STEPS TAKEN TO OVERCOME THEM

This artcile is dedicated to the analysis of the consequences of the
global financial and economic crisis on Armenia's economy and the
measures to overcome them. The crisis was still very active in 2008-
2009 and wasn't going to retreat. It has left a deep and prolonged influence
on both developed and developing countries. Its influence on the
Armenian economy is also felt.
The artcile addresses the measures undertaken to overcome the
crisis. The necessary measures are reforms in the tax, customs and
financial systems, struggle against monopoly and minimization of corruption
risks. According to the author this all should be carried out at
an institutional level in order to cure the whole system and exclude a
short-term effect.
