ՓՆՏՐԵԼ       #13 (114) / Դեկտեմբեր 2009   Nerses YERITSYAN HIGH RESULTS MAY NOT BE ACHIEVED WITHOUT HIGH ASPIRATIONS Our key challenge we face remains diversification of our economy. The real target of diversification should be increase in export volumes. I consider decrease in importexport gap wrong. We should focus on increase in export potential and come to consensus on our competitive advantages. We definitely formulated them to be education, healthcare, services and a valuable high-tech industry, including agriculture, mining industry, and chemistry as well. They found reflection in the strategy of our ministry. We will soon finish our research of those spheres and have published a report, with a mention of the whole framework. We have strategies in certain spheres which we have been implementing for over a year. We will expose the spheres and assistance tools in a more targeted way next year. Those tools should be directed toward the formation of entrepreneurial drives in certain spheres for people to make their business projects themselves, receive sufficient assistance in order to minimize the risks, and to manifest greater growth rates, including in the sphere of export. This should make the logic of our policy. As for the spheres, highly valuable services should be a priority, and knowledge-based branches should serve as driving force of the economy.
